River Lodge South was
excellent for the price and location. It is just back off the
main road so you are still close to everything yet away from all
of the traffic noise. We had a first floor standard room. A back
door opened up to a patio and a small river. Tame ducks and
geese greeted us every time we opened the back door. Our room
was big and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Lots of towels.
The staff was friendly and helpful. We parked right outside our
front door. No problem calling this motel to book or while

I would like to thank
the staff working on Feb. 25, 2006 for the way in which my
mother was treated after an unfortunate situation arose. They
were as nice and accommodating as any place I have ever heard
of. They are a perfect example of a home away from home.

This was a great place
to stay! We were looking for an affordable place to spend a
Saturday night after a long day at Dollywood. I'm glad we
stopped and inquired about a room. I was quoted a price of $69
but asked for the cheapest room. We were told they had a smoking
one near the office for $39. We took it. The room didn't smell
like smoke at all. It was very nice and clean and quiet. The
staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great. Its
right on the parkway close to all the attractions. We didn't get
to check out the swimming pool since it stormed. I highly
recommend this motel if you want a clean and quiet place that is

We enjoyed our stay as
always. We loved the river view and the quietness. River Lodge
is very affordable, conveniently located and very CLEAN. The
family unit is great and allows a little privacy to the rooms.
Would definitely recommend to everyone! Staff is very nice and
helpful. We have stayed many times and never had any problems.
My kids enjoy feeding the ducks, and it keeps them entertained!

Have stayed at River
Lodge South before, and just recently visited again. New owners,
the place has been renovated, and the staff was very nice, rooms
very clean. They were very glad to have my business, and I
appreciated that. I will visit again. Nice to stay on the river,

We have stayed here for
the spring rod run for a few years now, we could not get a room
last year and had to stay at the ho-jo. I really missed this
place. it is not the ritz but it is very clean, you do not get
all of the noise from the traffic. its far enough off of the
road that you are in the middle of it all but you don't have to
hear it all. the staff is great and have a good sized very clean
room. i will never wait to long to call and get my dates in for
the rod run again. i highly recommend this hotel, they save you
a lot of money on a place to stay!! :} -South Carolina

My husband and stayed in
the "name omitted" for two nights and the end of June we
decided to stay a third night and asked the staff how much it
would be and they told us $159 so we went down the road to River
Lodge South and they gave us and excellent price and we loved
the room, the river, the pool, the location, the peace! Highly

I will not be staying at
the River Lodge until July 4 week , but when I called to place a
reservation for a couple of rooms the staff was very friendly
and there was no wait to talk to someone. They were also very
helpful with our needs , since we will be traveling with small
children and a disabled adult. We got ground floor rooms next to
the front desk and even a discount for staying for so many
nights. I cant wait to get there and experience this wonderful

We always stay here, the
room is always clean. The back porch with the ducks is great,
very relaxing. Its right off the main strip yet close enough to

I have stayed here when
I was a little girl with my family and now I'm an adult with a
family and still stay here. Its far enough away from the noise
and crowd yet within walking distance to everything. We love the
ducks and listening to the creek is so nice. The rooms and
service here are great! Room is always clean and the staff is
always nice and helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking for a
nice place to stay.

about this place. We like being off the main drag. We like the
setup of the rooms i.e. bath in middle for a dab of privacy. We
love the view, the river, ducks, and the outdoor grills, in
